Skanco was incorporated in 1985 as a direct result of the launch of personal computing with the IBM PC. Skanco’s first services were the supply of stand alone pc’s and accounting software to primarily the accountancy profession. This led on to networking, installation and hardware maintenance of the supplied pc’s and servers. Once pc’s had landed on nearly every desk Skanco commenced application IT Training and this continued until most new employees had been trained at school. Skanco still trains but primarily Cyber Security Training. As more businesses became reliant on their IT Systems Skanco set up a Disaster Recovery Centre which is now better known as a Business Continuity Centre. Skanco has continually built on its range of services from its beginnings in procurement through to complete management of clients’ IT with our clients taking some or all of our varied portfolio of services.
